We thought we were hiring a packer but with Donna we got so much more than that. I was 9 months pregnant on bed rest and my husband was working 24/7 when we moved house. Donna was incredibly hard working, extremely organised and seemed to have sorted our entire life out during the time she was with us.
She packed up the entire house, helped organise movers and unpacked everything perfectly.
It’s been 2 years since we moved but I still think of Donna often and how incredibly helpful and knowledgeable she was during a stressful and difficult time in our life.

I was overwhelmed by household goods, including 80 boxes, from a deceased estate. Donna and her company came highly recommended by a friend and she assisted with packing up my late sister's home. Donna's communication was excellent, she understood the brief (ie these types of items for donation, these to be packed and stored, these to disposed of) and worked efficiently, sensitively and thoughtfully throughout this difficult task. Recommended to us by a friend, we sought Donna's services to help us as we prepared to move my elderly mum from her home of 50+ years. The timing  and circumstances were awful. My dad was dying when we started the process and the actual move took place only 6 weeks after he died.
We cannot recommend Donna more highly. She was so efficient and organised, a veritable wealth of knowledge and contacts, sensitive to our situation and needs, considerate, kind and incredibly hard-working. She was really generous to us in so many ways, with her time, but via her whole approach to us. She may run Going Places as a business, but she is genuinely caring and passionate about what she does. Donna is also highly integrous and trustworthy, rare attributes.
Whilst we, as a family, had done much behind the scenes to get things ready in the many months leading up, Donna's calm and gentle manner, the fact that she was not emotionally involved, her experience and insight about what to do - these things all helped us practically, but also eased the emotional load massively for what we were managing. We are very grateful. She drew on her team as needed but on the actual moving day, it was Donna who was with us all day, working long hours to ensure that all the practical things that could be done were done and mum was set up well. She also organised to take several of my parents' belongings that were worth selling to auction houses - where as we might have just given things away or put it in the "too-hard basket" and left it for another day/ time. I could sit here and write all day about all the little things she did to help us.

We faced the unenviable task of cleaning out our parents' house in which they had lived for over 60 years. Being organised hoarders, where to start was the dilemma. Thankfully a friend recommended Donna and her team at Going Places Sydney. They embraced the task at hand and within days had decluttered the whole house. Every item was carefully reviewed and classified for resale, charity or, as last resort, rubbish. Donna simplified the task, with due care and sentiment.
